Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Bulk scanning runs in your browser exactly like standard scanning: every file is rendered and scanned on your own device, and the source files are not sent to a processing server.
How many files can I scan at once?
There is no fixed limit. Files are rendered one after another rather than all at the same time, so a queue of a few dozen everyday office documents is normally fine; very large files are limited by your device’s memory.
Do I get one PDF per file or a single merged file?
One scanned PDF per source file. When the batch finishes, “Download Scanned PDF” saves all of them together as a ZIP archive, and every row also has its own download button.
Can I mix different formats in one batch?
Yes. PDFs, images, Word, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, Markdown, HTML, RTF, SVG and plain text can sit in the same queue, and each file is rendered by the engine for its own format.
Do I need Pro for bulk scanning?
Yes, bulk scanning is a Pro feature. Standard single-file scanning is free and needs no signup, so you can try the scan effect there before you upgrade.
Can I use different settings for each file?
No. One set of scan, paper, stamp, watermark and metadata settings applies to the whole batch. To tune a single document on its own, open it on the standard scan page.
What happens if one file fails?
The batch keeps going. The file that failed is reported and skipped, the remaining files are still generated, and the archive contains everything that succeeded.
Can I close the tab while a batch is running?
No. The work happens in the page itself, so keep the tab open until the last file is done — closing it or navigating away ends the run and the generated PDFs are lost.
