Frequently asked questions
Which worksheet is converted from my Excel workbook?
Direct Excel import reads the first worksheet. Move the sheet you need to the first position and save the workbook before selecting it.
What if the Excel preview looks different from my spreadsheet?
Browser rendering may differ from Excel’s fonts, cell styles and charts. In Excel, set the print area and page layout, select the sheets you need and export them as a PDF. Check that PDF, then select it here to add the scan effect with the original print layout preserved.
Can I also use XLS, CSV or ODS, and will formulas stay editable?
XLS, CSV and ODS spreadsheets are also supported. The output is a scanned-looking PDF of rendered cell values, so formulas and cells are no longer editable as a spreadsheet.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Standard and bulk scanning process source documents in your browser without sending those files to a processing server. HTML files may load linked online resources such as images or fonts while they are rendered.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
Standard scanning is free and needs no signup. Free scans have a fixed daily limit; Pro lifts it and also unlocks bulk scanning, an ad-free workspace and API access.
